The People Behind Balance and Life

Balance and Life was built on a simple conviction: parents and caregivers deserve access to clear, reliable, and practical information about child health and development, without having to sort through conflicting advice or overly technical language.

That conviction came from experience.

Kelly Bezerra

Kelly is a Childcare Specialist with hands-on experience caring for infants and young children. Based in New York, she has worked closely with families navigating the earliest and most demanding stages of parenthood, from the newborn phase through the toddler years.

Her work is not theoretical. It is built on thousands of hours spent observing, supporting, and learning alongside the children and families she has served. That experience gave her a deep understanding of what parents actually need: not just information, but guidance they can trust and apply immediately.

Kelly brings that same practical, grounded approach to every article published on this blog.

Peter Quaglierini

Peter is a researcher and child development advocate with a strong focus on evidence-based parenting education. His work centers on translating pediatric and developmental research into language that is accessible to everyday families.

Peter contributes the research foundation that supports everything published on Balance and Life, ensuring that the information you read here is aligned with current pediatric guidelines and trusted health institutions.

Why We Created This Blog

When Kelly began her career as a Childcare Specialist, she noticed a consistent pattern. Parents were overwhelmed, not because they lacked love or dedication, but because they lacked access to straightforward, trustworthy information.

They had questions about feeding, sleep, developmental milestones, warning signs, and vaccines. They were navigating postpartum challenges, managing household responsibilities, and trying to be present for their children, all at the same time.

Balance and Life was created to be the resource those parents needed. A place where the information is clear, the guidance is practical, and the tone is supportive rather than judgmental.

What We Cover

Every article on this blog addresses a real concern that parents and caregivers face:

  • Newborn and baby care in the first months of life
  • Feeding, breastfeeding, and introduction of solid foods
  • Child development milestones from birth to age 2
  • Health and safety, including vaccines, illness warning signs, and fever management
  • Maternal mental health, including postpartum blues and postpartum depression
  • Practical guidance for building daily routines that work for the whole family
  • Early signs and developmental concerns, including autism and ADHD

How We Create and Review Our Content

Every article is written by Kelly and Peter. Kelly draws on her hands-on experience as a Childcare Specialist, and Peter researches current guidance from sources such as the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and peer-reviewed studies. We link to the sources we use, we update articles when guidance changes, and we mark affiliate links clearly. We are not medical professionals, so our articles never replace the advice of your child’s doctor. Please read our Medical Disclaimer. If you find an error, write to contact@balance-and-life.com and we will review it.

Our Commitment to You

Every piece of content published here is written with accuracy, care, and respect for the families reading it. We do not publish generic advice. We do not sensationalize health topics. We do not recommend products without genuine confidence in their value.

Our commitment is to be a source you can return to, trust, and share with confidence.

Thank you for being here.
